Afrihost sucks soooo bad

Anyone else sick of Afrihost?

I just left them for Crystal Web.

Complains about afrihost.
Is even more useless with their own thread.
So much win.
 
They have definitely had their capacity problems lately, and I have had to throw my toys on occasion due to service issues, but on the whole I feel I get what I pay for and am happy to keep my account with them
 
Been with Afrihost over 5yrs now. No major issues here.
 
I left mweb after they dropped the news server, got a 2mb business uncapped account with afrihost this week and I'm more than happy. I get good latency while gaming and if i download it is full speed ahead.
 
Afrihost's no longer the best SA ISP. WA and CW are the only decent ISPs left now :(... Their shaping policies are alright. Not too strict.

Useless thread is useless.

I think Afrihost is good.

Im on an unshaped uncapped 4MB Business line.

I think Telkom is the problem

Their infrastructure is a problem.

Especially in areas like Lenasia where there is too much congestion.

Too bad we cant do anything about it :-(

My adsl line has been down from the 12th of October 2014. Despite numerous calls, all I get is it has been escalated.

Clearly this is not working.


The 'home of pure internet joy' is vacant.

I was caller number number 31 until I hung up.
 
I use them as a bundle-backup to Telkom ADSL (which it is necessary to have)

I have been OK with their service although I noticed that their website still advertises free Wi-Fi whereas this service is discontinued, and my very specific question on why this was the case was not addressed. It's just a detail but (as a 'customer centricity practitioner') I do particlularly like straight answers to customer queries
