50% and ive done 21 gig :|id hate to know whats happening to the other okes out there :|

Shaping varies throughout the day depending on network pressure. Apologies for any inconvenience this maybe causing. If you have urgent downloads that you might need to do, Turbocharge is available for your use.
 
meh, im on business uncapped now, everything is good so far, i can actually game while running downloads at 75% line speed, this is just a stupid workaround to fix the bad quality realtime service problem though. will stick to this account for a month or two before switching back

Did you upgrade or sign up a new account? While downloads may be shaped, you should always have full speed realtime gaming.

Have we worked with you to see if this could be improved on Uncapped?

I'm not being shaped, but just for interest sake, do you guys cache these types of downloads... (Windows 8.1) locally?

Hey guys, so I have a GTX 650 Ti Boost from MSI that I got this summer. Everything has been running GREAT till this past weekend. The computer started randomly locking up when I wasn't really doing anything. It started with Windows Explorer and eventually everything started locking up. Skype, Task Manager, Chrome a little but not much. Sometimes it goes away but most times I need to hard reset the computer. I have been trying to link it to something. No viruses, hard drive seems to be okay. I remember doing a nVidia driver update a few days ago. I updated to version 327.23. I have also done Windows Update since then. I'm wondering if anyone else has been having this type problem on this driver and/or card. And suggestions would be much appreciated!

We do have a CDN for caching popular content, but it depends on the content - some don't allow the content to be cached (like Apple). Not sure if Windows does to be honest :(

No i understand that... but ive done 21 gig for the whole month on a 1meg line and im begin shaped to 50% :| that's pretty hectic shaping.. Havant even run downloads for a full day at all

Shaping has gone away now :)

We try to Unshape as soon as we can and where we can. Awesome that you are Unshaped now :)

Shaping will hopefully ease off in the next couple of hours and you'll be free again. :(

Shaping Policy: 25% Download/ 12.5% P2P

Im always shaped for some odd reason, I even checked 1am this morning, was about the same as now. BUT, my realtime services are ALWAYS fast and I manage somehow to get my "Ubuntu" downloads done during the course of the day/night. Not sure about the others, but the shaping policy, iv'e gotten so used to it that it doesnt really bother me as much as it did in the past, Afrihost the lion tamer an me the lion I suppose. :P :D

How can I be shaped at 8am on a Saturday morning - Jhb area - Shaping Policy: 25% Download/ 12.5% P2P??
