You get 50% of this month's pro-rata AND 50% of your first full month. If it doesn't happen, PM me and I'll make sure you get a credit (but it works, trust me) :)

Hey AfriMan, I just cancelled my telkom isp and plan to take advantage of this 50% off offer.

What I wanted to know is when do you reckon I should apply for the bundle offer so that I can get the 50% off for the rest of this month, the 50% off of the 1st full month and then to get the bundle offer without getting double billed or something.

I signed last week. Got invoiced Fri R200 and some change. No 50% for me. What do you have to do to get the discount?

Full invoice for tax purposes. Credit note gets issued later.. :) just pm afriman to remind him ;)

Getting a bit ridiculous.

Line speed is still good. ping is starting to bother me however...

Had some horrible speeds tonight, so restarted my router and tested both my usernames. PINGS are high, downloads are spiking

Hmmm... I have some sites hosted at WebAfrica. Tonight they have been crawling. So slow images were failing to load.
I just accepted it for a bit then decided to go back to my MWeb 4mbps uncapped and see. Bang. Everything instant. Went back to Afrihost 4mbps uncapped and back to crawling.

Is there something up or is this normal between Afrihost and WebAfrica? I cannot have my sites loading slow. I use them all the time.

Hey guys,

What sort of pings should I be getting if I am based in the free state?

This is what I currently get with Afrihost.

That looks relatively good for the FS...

remember you have to travel to a primary exchange such as the Rosebank exchange, so you will have slightly higher ping than someone in Gauteng. Similarly, someone in George would have a higher ping than say someone living in Cpt.

That ping is still acceptible for the distance your packets must travel to the speedtest server

We're still busy looking into this, we're really grateful to those of you who submitted your accounts so that we can test this issue.

We'll post some feedback really soon, please bear with us. With our datacentre issues yesterday, we kind of lost sight of this, but our guys are back on the job.

:)

I have!

One suggestion - can it show 30 day rolling total rather than this month's total, for uncapped accounts?
