This hop seems to be the problem with my tracert too.
 
5% download speed is ridiculous. you guys can't shape so badly. i understand if you want to shape us to 50% speed but come on, 5%? really?
 
There seems to be an intermittent issue with authentications, I've got our guys looking into this. Will let you guys know as soon as it goes away, we're not sure what is behind this, as many clients are authenticating and only certain clients seem to be affected at this stage.

We are also still looking into the ping/latency issues, so please continue to be patient. We'll get to the bottom of this as soon as possible :(
 
Yo, is anyone else getting authentication issues on their router? Did a reset and now the thing is getting "password/username incorrect" issues.. Have checked and re-checked settings; everything is exactly as it should be (verified with email I got from AH when I signed up.

im also on 5% shaping profile , was fine most of the day , got home then they started shaping again.
 
We're still looking into this. There could be a lot of cause, there is an authentication string/sequence that involves Telkom, MTN and Afrihost and we need to determine exactly where in the process something is breaking down. Depending on the cause, we can either resolve it or workaround it.

Promise we have our best and brightest minds working on this right now.

Still not working my side... this looks to be a big problem.

Afriman, been very patient over this, but it seems that every weekend there is a problem.
 
Incorrect username/password on all my AH accounts this morning.

This is really not good. AH won the award for best ISP last year, this year they should be in the running for the most unreliable ISP known to man. Never more than three days pass without some sort of major issue.
