Afrihost Uncapped ADSL Feedback

My business account just died. Serious packet loss. File I was downloading over http reduced to 3KB/s. Ffs Afrihost. This is like the fourth time this has happened in recent memory. No website will load.

Still stone dead - I'm lucky if I can load a header. Thanks AH. 50% packet loss and huge latency between Cape Town MTN hops.
 
My Afrihost uncapped account just died on me 56% packet lost ,and major latency problems ,using my backup telkom account at the moment
 
My business account died last night at around 20:30 Afrihost what gives?

Not a happy camper when you on a business account and this happens.

Actually, it is bigger than that. It depends on your sync rate to the exchange and the distance, the db numbers tell you more. I am experiencing same as slartibartfast on My afrihost account. I got my full speed on a different ADSL account.

Aren't we assuming we have good db readings?

We could assume we have. Then, that means Afrihost is not giving me my full speed. Could this be because it is an uncapped account? I am getting 900KBps - 1.06 MB/ps on a capped account from a different ISP. Also, my afrihost account is not currently shaped, as I haven't downloaded much thus far this month.

Maybe they are unable to access the internet with their afrihost accounts.... :p
 
mine seems okay at the moment as well. Not the speed i'm paying for, but it's not bad at the moment.
 
Since 12.05am the ping has gone weird ? 116ms from Somerset West to CT ? so what broke now again sigh :(
 
Okay, This may be a somerset west issue then. Im also in S/W and its a small bunch of people having issues.
