Afrihost Uncapped ADSL Feedback

Hi Afrigirl. I'm currently on my Mweb 1GB account. If it starts to die on me like my Afrihost account has been doing, I'll just buy a new router. If it stays strong then I'll engage Afrihost on my poor service.

Is there anyway I can help before we get to that point?
 
Does the Tweak My Line actually work? It says it usually takes 3 minutes, but mines been going for 20.

Telkom just bumped my line from 4mb to 10mb and I get the following stats

Downstream Upstream
SNR Margin: 17.7 9.2 db
Line Attenuation: 31.0 15.8 db
Data Rate: 10015 1019 kbps
POWER: 0.0 10.3 dbm
CRC: 0 0

Does this look OK?

Just got a reply from Telkom saying my line is fixed yet I am still getting these high latencies on the 2nd hop.

Also International speeds are shocking.

Quick update: I bought a new D-Link router and things have definitely picked up. SNR was dangerously close to 6dB, but while changing my sync speed to 5Mbps improved SNR, it didn't improve performance on Google services or download speeds. So I'm back on 6mb. Youtube still sucks, the Play Store is as slow as ever and I'm still unhappy.
 
Mine seems much better today, not the speed I'm paying for, but much better, so that's a fight for another day.
 
For interest sake, Afrihost I don't think your ADSL leader board works that well!

My 10Mbps business account is - 1.120 TB

and I'm not on the leaderboard
 
If i wanted to bundle my line and account do i have to wait for it to get switched or is there a way to do it all at once.
 
Ok. Just really crap having to go there and pay.

Telkom's online portal isn't terrible... pay online? Unfortunately you cannot get out of paying for the analogue portion of the line, and that remains with Telkom regardless of whom your DSL line is with.

I only pay Telkom in cash since their system has raped me before and taken over R3000 out my debit card.
