Afterhours work in your area

Some other things to consider:

A format & reinstall is sometimes required but people do not always have the correct software & licenses. I refuse to load on illegitimate copy of Windows or Office (some people seem to think Windows includes Office) :/

Sometimes one needs internet access on the spot. I needed to help an elderly lady to install her HP printer on a new laptop the other day. The download was going to take FOREVER on her Cell C 3G stick. Luckely I could download the driver on my phone much quicker and could copy it to her pc that way...

Sometimes one needs to phone a SP's call center for assistance - not sure how many operate after hours. E.g. the person has forgotten their adsl or email password...

Sometimes new hardware is required e.g. router got struck by lighting, RAM is faulty etc.

Thanks for the feedback. Will give these challenges some thought.

When are you thinking of trialing this?

Also how will you pick the candidates you send out?

Doing a small trial in a Cape Town suburb at the moment. Very basic, no app, sms driven,... very lean principles. Trying to validate the concept before building out the service. Seeing what the common themes, requests, challenges and evaluating whether the concept is scalable whilst maintaining an adequate service level.

Jobs will be allocated using an algorithm based on proximity, customer feedback rating, average response time, hourly rate & billed amount.

Sounds like a great idea! Imagine have a large group of workers and people open the app to see some NERD close by that could help them with advice and or fix stuff!

Count me in, JHB - Fourways

Looks like we have more technicians than users/clients....:D

Aw, what the heck, might as well join the revolution.....
Halfway House, Centurion & Kyalami areas...

You don't have to limit it to after hours. Make it during the day as well.
