All things Sunsynk (Deye, Inge, etc...)

The UK-Ponytail-Guy Keith from SunSynk has been talking and promising (through all the nervous and akward giggling) about ESP integration into SS app and moving of regions to ze germans' servers and all that for months on end now, but I'm not seeing any of these changes.

Does anyone know what's happening with these 'developments' or am I missing an app/web portal update ?

I'm not sure they have a large dev team so some of their changes DO take time
 
Change your setting to limit to load (SunSynk), zero export to load (deye).

HA could be pulling the wrong field into the view? Is it always the same amount as the essential load? Does it show on other apps?

I had to manually change quite a few fields when setting mine up.

Not sure tbh but not the same amount always no:
Last night while importing it was about 50w
During the afternoon while exporting it was showing 70/5w

And just logged in and this is right now

I think I'm missing something, can anyone explain how to check for Consolidated monthly stats on the sunsynk app/web platform. (Not a day to day summary)?

On the app:
Select your plant
On the overview tab, scroll down and select year
It will show the stats split per month
 
On our Sunsynk system I'm noticing something strange:
- In the morning the batteries will charge fully to 100% and then on most days the solar covers everything and the batteries stay full (well 99%).
- Some days after the batteries have charged it'll use battery power when we have cloud cover or power requirements that exceed the solar being produced.
- We've switched the grid off at the moment to try and keep off grid so the timer settings are currently not switched on (as I believe that only affects when the batteries will charge from the grid).

For the second point above what seems to happen is that it'll allow the battery to drop even once we have sufficient solar power again or the load has dropped. I would have assumed that it would then recharge the batteries back to full again too in this time however this only seems to take place later in the afternoon.

Is this normal or is there a setting that I'm just missing to keep it fully charged when capable?

So right now for example (at 14:11 when I know we have a load of sun out) we see this:

How can I force it to keep the charge at 100% earlier on in the day instead of what appears to be some random time and/or SOC later in the afternoon? The only thing I can find is the timer settings but since mine isn't switched on it shouldn't affect it...or does it?

I'm thinking Basically because you switch off the grid the system will prioritise you house usage over the battery
I cant recall exactly what the equivalent setting on Sunsync is but on Deye you set the energy pattern as battery first that prioritises battery charge.

What's you max PV though
Rough guess at 2pm and getting 834w lets say 30% efficiency now is your max only 2.5Kw?

Switching off grid does not help in identifying the issue, the screenshot provided is totally viable in overcast conditions, as per previous post, what is max PV?
Huge shot in the dark may suggest CT is wrong way, for this we need grid to also show on this scenario. How long is the system online?

Well we've just been using it without grid since it was installed (on the 14th of August last month). It has grid the first two days until I just switched it off however none of the timer settings were configured so it was essentially using solar as a priority and then grid to keep the batteries charged.

Our max PV is 7770 (14 x 555 panels).

You might be onto something where the load is priority over battery so I'll have to check.
What is your string layout and all facing the same direction?

What batteries, this sounds more like a battery issue as opposed to an inverter issue.

Was going to say similar, not really an issue, but the way the BMS manages the battery charge/discharge.
You will notice with Sunsynk batteries when you get close to 100% the LiBMS screen will drop the charge current to 40A, then even 20A, then eventually 0A when its like 99%-100%.
Then it only allows discharge from there, til down to about 90%-95% depending on its mood. :)

I was also ocd about being at 100% but I've learnt that the SOC % is an estimate (a good one tho) based on voltage, and i think near the full end it is the least accurate and now consider anything over 90% as 'full'.

Actually your info is about the closest thing that I could find online when searching where a power forum member suggested something similar but there was sadly no follow up information.

Have you tried to use the batteries in AGM mode (turn off the communication and disconnest the communication cable) just as a test to see if the behaviour that you describe is due to intentional instructions by the BMS to the inverter.

Just make sure the charge setting are correct before you do so.

Yes, I've definitely seen the SoC behave weirdly at the top end.

Like here my SoC went from 89% to 98% in the next 5 minute interval. Literally impossible.
