Anyone know how to update the time-zone on my Deye inverter? It keeps updating itself one hour forwards

The sunsynk has a checkbox to sync the time to the Internet. This should be unchecked as it assumes that we use daylight savings time and why it jumps an hour twice a year.

Not sure where to find this in the Deye but it should be somewhere where the date and time is set.

It's on the basic settings screen.

If you set the timezone via the website, it fixes the issue though.
 
So - looking at this - switch the red over to Eskom.

Kill Supply Inverter?

I'm assuming Main Switch kills power back to the db board completely?

Significant difference between yesterday's SOC and BatV to today , same time. Something wasn't set correctly before that seems on track now.

Annoying thing, without HA , I wouldn't be able to track as all the other apps just track SOC and if they are misaligned....

I have an 8KW Deye inverter, connected to 2x8.7KW Felicity lithium batteries.

When the load gets to about 6kw the system shuts down and I get an F56 DC Volt low fault.

Batteries are at 60%.

Does anyone know why this is happening and how to fix? Thanks!

Batteries are at 60%.

Does anyone know why this is happening and how to fix? Thanks!
Are your batteries connected to the inverter via CAN port?

And also, does the error occur at all times or only during loadshedding?

Hi, I see the battery has a 120Amp max output. That brings you to your 6kW. So I'm wondering whether the system is seeing both batteries.
 
If you have an official sunsynk installer, they have access to do a firmware update.
For anyone else you need to request from sunsynk and they push it down.
Or get onto the WhatsApp installer group and ask them to do it yourself.
 
AFAIK The built-in AP can be disabled once it is up and running by logging onto the dongle's web interface.

There is no delay as you can pull data directly from the dongle. But it only provides updates once a minute. It is substantially better than the default Solarman option though which can sometimes be delayed for up to 10 minutes.
Trouble is anyone can botch your settings for lolz from anywhere in the world. All they need is that serial no.
 
I've never had to shut down my inverter - what is the proper way to do it? I'll need to open the front panel to install the cabling for solar assistant - would prefer to do it without live power running through the thing.
There's a button underneath that you press and hold to power off... But to power off properly, kill all DC sources - panels and battery. Do AC first, then DC then power off at the bottom with the switch and wait a minute or two for shutdown.

I have had similar issue, its a battery mismatch on the inverter. have your installer check it out, the low DC warning if your SOC is at 60% is because its not equating the voltage to the correct SOC.

Had a breakdown of mine yesterday, they set something in the battery and much better this morning, have a look few posts back

Installers should actually take the time to explain all this ****.

I'm still printing the housing for the Pi3 - I'll have everything configured today - then just need the cables and installation - so I still have a day or two to figure it out.

Lol, I need to print another one for my HA pi. Did one for my Octo, it actually comes our real nice.
 
Found this one for wall mounting, simple and fits nicely. Just waiting for the lid

My issue is more power, don't think I have a free socket in my cabinet anymore, not sure if HA would consume too much power if I ran it off a USB from one of my servers.

Yeh, think it might pull too much and give issues if its Pi3 or greater.
