All things Sunsynk (Deye, Inge, etc...)

They do so it's probably that that's taken off the first purchase for the month.
Normally the connection fee is added to the rates bill. I would query that. The 1st block of 600kWh should cost about R1851 including VAT.

I have a rental property with a prepaid meter and the connection fee has never been on the rates bill for that property.

I'll check next month when buying again.

It looks like a footnote right at the end of the bill.

They'll probably get in easily and then be too stupid to find a way out

This would not suprise me - I need to go up again in a month or so to clean the panels, so will have a look.

Also noticed one of the cables running from the second set of panels just lying bare on the roof - so probably need to wrap it in a conduit somehow, I guess it doesn't matter what you pay, the guys will do a shitty job.

Anybody else's Sunsynk inverter stats 'reset' on their inverter, phone app and web portal? Mine was going fine and then reset earlier today but only for stats for today...

P.S. I am still missing large amounts of data due to the region move though
Yes! Happens to me for a day or three (not always in a row) every couple of weeks. Just as I start to relax assuming it was a once off, it happens again. 4 days messed up in July.

Mostly the load and import values go awol. Had PV reset to zero one day in July - that was a first...

Interestingly, the totals under custom/detail reporting on the "plant" side (at least in my case) whether in app or web, are not losing count, so now my total produced, imported and total load values according to monthly and annual graphs ("Overview" side) are less than when custom reporting and setting parameters...

Frustrates the heck out of me since the ROI calcs are based on the overview numbers and theorenit loses count, the less accurate all of it becomes.

Someone suggested firmware update which I haven't done to date. Not sure what difference that could make though since overall numbers are logically logged one way and portal should account for the rest.

I think this is a glitch on Sunsynk portal side. Called the help desk and tried to explain, but only very generic "contact your installer" responses followed.

Installer obviously has no clue what causes this and in their mind system is all good unless it's going up in flames.

Sunsynk 8kW with firmware:
M 6.0.2.1 / S 1.7.2.4 / C E.4.2.6

I was hoping this whole solar system thing would be trouble free. Like you install and forget. But no, it looks like you have to babysit/fiddle with it from time to time. Mxm

So this is what I mean - spot the lone red cable - no idea why its not in the conduit - I suspect these guys strung everything up then realised they forgot the one cable - so left it.

Going to do a cheapy for now and buy PVC flexible tubing and cut it down the center, and then put the cable inside.

I have the same in places. Need to put them into conduit like you - cut flexible conduit will be fine.

Hey man, tried to find your previous post - what are you trying to keep out? Birds?

Pigeons started nesting under the panels - I keep chasing them away and sweaping out the nests - but - with all the cabling underneath, its a disaster coming.

That netting looks good - hopefully solves it!

Reminds me I need to go and give the panels a wash soon - so much dust everywhere I have no doubt they're coated in a layer of dust.

Anyone figured out the best way to clean your panels yet?

I'm just take the hose and washing them down - then using a soft cloth to clean out any bird ... strikes

Think @Speedster posted this one a while ago
