Android app bargains thread.

Still prefer Touchpal.

Now even better seeing that it also works on Windows 8 and yes iPhone is also supported.

Edit: Only thing they miss is Afrikaans support, but is quick swipe on the Space bar turn on/off prediction so its not an issue either.

If I ran Windows, I would make my own but seeing that the SDK and Dictionary tools require .net it will have to wait.

The themes in the preview are hideous.

Well that part I can say is in the Eye of the holder, personally I love the default theme, even then the look is a minor to the functionality it brings.

Things I can not get use to when I try other keyboards:
Swipe up for numbers instead of long press (Much faster)
Next word predictions that learned from my previous messages
1 button press to get to emotion icons

The dedicated edit screen is also a huge up for me:

and also if you select numbers section they arrange em in a block not that crap line on top that most keyboards do:

On both SwiftKey and Swype, you only have to touch a key to get to a list of numbers or emoticons. Holding down is only if you don't want your keyboard to change.

You misunderstand me?.

In Touchpal q can be q, Q or 1 ....
Just tap it = q
swipe up on the key = Q
swipe down = 1
Long press on q will pop-up more options if they exist and then you slide left to right to pick em.

Oh I see. That's not much faster than just holding Q for a split second like on most conventional keyboards. Some keyboards give you the option of setting the delay, so you could make it a very small delay.

I've decided Swiftkey is better than Swype. Something about the keyboard is just easier on the eyes, spacing is better managed, themes are much more attractive, Flow is so good that I can't proclaim Swype to be better, the position of shortcuts is more logical to me and voice dictation doesn't have to be disabled to ensure correct keyboard alignment.

I'll use Swype now and again just for something different, but Swiftkey is definitely still my main keyboard.

Star Wars Pinball is 50% off for a week! Been waiting ages for this sale. You only get one table with the initial purchase, and there are two more in-app purchases. At normal prices it's a ripoff, but at half price it's great. Exceptional game if you like pinball.

Need for speed: most wanted $.99 (80%off)

Bought it sometime back, hardly ever played it. I needs more control options. /its tilt to steer...

I'd buy it if it had Moga support, just for some variety. For now it's all about Asphalt 7.

K just sucks... big time.

The day something comes up that I want from Amazon (Jump Desktop) is the day Amazon decided that my 1 click purchase is no longer working.

Checked Address and other detail, all still USA only.

/me now sad panda....

Edit: Aaah crap... just remember its my own dam doing.... I remember the exact same thing happened last time I updated my Amazon app. Guess what I did yesterday...

Amazon's app store isn't even worth my time as it is. They're aggressively rolling out to pretty much every country, so I'll just wait until they actually launch properly. Although I would prefer having all my purchases in one place, particularly Google Play. I almost regret buying the Humble Bundle for this reason.

GTA: Vice City is on sale! Finally! It's $1.99, so 60% off. It has Moga support, which is awesome.

For some reason I prefer tilt steering over on screen control.. Just increase the sensitivity for tilt to reduce tilt radius.

Tilt steering is my absolute worst. But as I said, Asphalt 7 supports the Moga controller, so tilting not necessary.
