I just used my old account (never really buy from Amazon, more eBay) and it worked fine - no changing of settings or anything.
The only thing I don't like is having to have 'another' app program - I prefer 1, "Play Store" but now to get the 'free' apps you have to have both. :(
 
I downloaded Swiftkey and a few of those other ones. But I'm finding that Swype is more accurate with the swiping based typing. Opinions?
 
SwiftKey takes a while to learner your style of writing, give it access to places you write and a while to learn.

Gave up and returned to Swype. Far more accurate and more optional words at the top of the keyboard when it does make a mistake.

The biggest issue I have with Swype is that it refuses to stay as the default keyboard. I keep having to manually set it after not using my phone for a bit. Swiftkey doesn't do this. Do you ever have this problem?

S3 with Cyanogenmod 10.2. I'm going to freeze the default Android keyboard and see if that helps. Hopefully Swype will stay active if there's nothing else.

Same here.

Rooted and I did a restore via titanium backup. Think that is why mine does it.
 
Flick golf is the free app from the Amazon app store today. It's fun, but I imagine it could get boring after a while.

Just to confirm - freezing the default Android keyboard does prevent Swype from deactivating itself. It's working perfectly for me now.
