Apple sets September 12 event, latest iPhone expected

I would rather buy a Samsung Galaxy S3 over an Apple iPhone in my opinion.

Their bitching on Samsung convinced me more on getting Samsung.
 
We'll get to hear how Apple invented "5" ... (and patented it).
 
In the beginning, this was news... now its just getting boring. Every few months a new launch with not much to be unveiled except second-hand concepts courtesy of ... android, or nokia, or... Facetime? New innovation?? Hmmm, my N95 back in 2006 had a frontfacing camera for exactly this, how innovative apple :D

At this stage last year I think everyone believed the new iPhone would have a wedge style profile like the macbook air. Wouldn't be surprised if the iPhone 5 is different to what has been speculated. I hope they increase it to 4" but keep the current aspect ration. The idea of a very long screen just isn't that appealing.

Also speculated to be launching new iPods and the iPad mini and 13" rMBP are also in the works apparently. There was also noise about the iPad being slightly retouched to have the same new 9 pin connector.
 
...and it will most likely be using the new nano sim. So all those fanbois who want the new iPhone5 will all have to do sim swaps too! :D
 
The apple news is boring but the apple-vs-samsung debate that inevitably follows in the forum is worth a few handfuls of popcorn.
 
Interested to see what they come up with... I'll likely never get myself an iPhone, but I still believe the pad is top class.. My combo of sgs2 and ipad2 works perfectly for me!

Would love a s3 and ipad3 ;)

Got S3 and iPad3. Don't use the iPad. Prefer Galaxy Tab 10.1.

What do you find is nice about the combo?
 
Still... Guess we'll be seeing all of you boys here commenting on the live blogs anyway. ;)
