I live 500km's from the coverage area.

I don't think they'd pick me, unless I can bounce off one HECK of an antenna ;D

You really think they're gonna check their entire client base for each person who requests it to see if they're a current client? Don't think so hey.

Also, they will use it as a marketing scheme, I think the bigger aim would actually be to get people who are NOT current customers.

It will be very easy for them to examine the IP address the request came from and include it in their decision, but I don't think it will be an absolute requirement. We will see soon enough when the selected users start posting on here.

I guess they will select users to increase geographic diversity as far as possible. If their equipment has limitations, they need to know as soon as possible.

Either way I'm excited. It certainly looks like affordable broadband prices are here to stay, e.g. i5promo. All we need is for ICASA and the state owned companies to sell the relevant spectrum.

According to http://mybroadband.co.za/news/broadband/61752-8ta-lte-details-revealed.html If qualify, I will receive LTE router with an external antenna.

Maharaj said that they will offer consumers the option of a Wi-Fi enabled LTE router or a Mi-Fi type portable router. In areas with weak signal strength users will be furnished with an LTE router with an external antenna.

Inclusive data bundle will expire at the end of the current calendar month.

Let me put it straight: it is either mistake or it means that the next month you receive another 50GB, the last recharge on March 2013!

I have to admit it is far too much for me.

It actually shows the Geo-coordinates of the location highlighted on the map.

Is it true that only 200 people will stand the chance to be part of this trial?

I live in Centurion and I have the 8ta : Go Big 10GB service, would this by any means increase my chances?

We have not been told what the criteria is, but we have been informed that having an 8ta contract would not be part of the it.

In MyBB article it was mentioned either LTE/Wifi router or portable LTE/MiFi device, so don't expect ordinary modem.
