Apply for free 8ta LTE trial

I am stuck in the middle of two areas that are covered, but the map shows that I am NOT covered. I applied in anyway.
 
You should really trial it in the outerwest regions of eThekwini to get a proper indication of it's ability to tackle mountains and hills (we have a 1,000 of them apparently)... chat to your tech guys (they'll agree no doubt) and I'll send you my delivery details :D ;) :D
 
I have applied in the first few minutes of the site going live and I am a 8ta subscriber.
Hope i will be picked. If i am picked for trail i will be testing from 2 places. Both my home in midrand and work place in pretoria has coverage.

Did anybody get call from 8ta? or they are only going to call after 24th October?

Applied as soon as the site went live and have perfect connection in malanshof. Just waiting for a reply, anyone heard anything?
 
Interestingly I went to go check again and it shows me as outside the LTE area but it also shows me as outside the 3G area even though I've been using 8ta 3G for a long while now and connect with about 80% connection strength which is better than what I get with CellC.

So I applied again, this time saying that I am in the covered area.

Same here and also waiting for a response, nothing yet
 
I applied as on the map it shows my address as inside the coverage area.

However, when typing in my address and it shows up on the map, it shows I am outside the LTE coverage, coz it's the wrong friggin location.

Will this affect my chances, 8ta?

BTW, thanks again for the superb 3G speeds in Centurion - you are maxing out my Vodacom 7.2Mbps modem :D
 
Maybe the 8ta representative can shed some light on when the LTE testers will be informed?

We know you all are excited. All we can say is... that it is in the process. No one has been contacted as yet. All we have been informed is that participants will be contacted before 1 November 2012. Once we are informed that they are contacting the participants, we will update this thread.

Holding your thumbs for today will just get you sweaty hands and you probably won't be able to do anything with your hands. Have you tried typing while holding your thumbs? :P

How about moving to Jhb for the trial? :P

Wish it were possible to include the whole country, but this trial rules have already been set in stone. :(
