Aramex global shopper

I had some books I ordered from a shop in Germany sent with AGS and they overcharged me for duties. I queried it and they responded by sending a PDF invoice with the updated amount and asked me to pay by EFT, however they didn't include bank details. I replied asking for them, to no response. This morning I got a new email (not a reply) from the same person requesting that I pay (final warning). Does anyone have their EFT details? The person I'm dealing with is not communicating properly. The amount in the app has also not changed.

Thanks in advance

Use your account number as a reference. I would also email the guy with your account number, shipment number and proof of payment.

Aramex has lost 3 of my Amazon packages now. In less than 3 months. I'm using DHL exclusively now, can't deal with how unreliable these guys are. It's like R100 extra for DHL but the difference is night and day

At what stage are your packages normally lost and how many packages did you have sent within that 3 months?
And also, which Amazon site are you buying from?

How do you use DHL?
Does DHL have a receiving office in the US, and then forward to you in SA?

I only just found this thread now. I have a package with AGS that has been 'held at customs' since 8/12/2020. Every call I make either doesnt get answered or the person that does answer can't give me a status update or reason for the hold. If I knew the service was this terrible I would have rather used SAPO! Anybody have any advice? Please dont say chat or email, that has no joy either.

Amazon.com

I buy roughly every week from Amazon. Not sure if that answers your question?

I just choose the faster delivery option on Amazon.com during checkout. The price difference is pretty small. I don't use forwarding service anymore. Don't really need it.

If possible. Drive there

I was wondering maybe you were buying from .co.uk or somewhere other and the US site.

I've always had it sent directly from amazon. The last thing I ordered was an electric shaver and I swear it arrived in 2 days and I didn't choose faster shipping. My sister ordered a Point of sale iPad stand the same week and had the same super fast shipping.

The thing I really like is not having delays at customs and having duties paid upfront.

Im in Durban, and I'm sure the customs office in question is JHB. Driving there is not an option at the moment. I see other members have much better service shipping direct from amazon, which I will definitely use going forward. What other options do we have when shipping from any other retailer?
