Can I import food (chocolate/cookies)with Aramex global shopper?
No you won't refunded for that, customs gets paid to SARS.Oh and question regarding the customs I paid should they reimburse me for it since I paid customs for nothing or is that a long shot?

So if i understand correctly, it should be ok...if I use an address in Japan or something....did anyone try it before?
I think the best thing you can do is just use the Aramex chat facility and askSo if i understand correctly, it should be ok...if I use an address in Japan or something....did anyone try it before?
Same thing happened to me. Ordered a Pixel 6a from USA, paid customs this side, and got a box with only a charging cable and brick, could clearly see the empty box inside which housed the phone was cut open. Logged it with AGS almost 2 months ago and no response yet. They initially said it would take about 2-3 weeks to resolve, they need to check xray scans at airports, videos at the AGS hubs, etc.Well, i tried reading the thread to see if there was a horror story and I saw nothing. Let me change that.
I ordered a phone from the UK because xiaomi had a early bird sale where if you bought the phone you will get a tablet and charger stand included at no cost.
So I ordered the item used AGS London, did all the stuff and the package was delivered to the UK depot the following day. Fast forward paid customs and everything received my item this week proceed to unbox and no phone just the tablet and charger stand.. Invoice is inside and it states the phone was supposed to be in there aswell.
Phone aramex they say I should log a request on the portal and provide images showing the package inside and out along with items.
So now they are investigating and I'm waiting to hear from them, How do I know the item was stolen.. The weight of the package does not match the weight recorded when they received it at the UK depot
Post queries to the aramexglobalshopper twitter account if you want a quick response whoever is running the account is on the ball there.

Oh and I never had AGS protect ticked for USA, so they can only reimburse up to $100 if the investigation is done, and my total cost was about R3k spent including delivery and customs.
Over the past 3 years I brought in 2 laptops from the US and a very expensive musical instrument from the UK, all individually, and all valued at way more than the phone. Also had no issues with those purchases. At least I can be glad those had no issues, and the cheapest of my purchases was the only one stolen in transit.Eina.
I bought my Pixel phone from Amazon.com and used their shipping which came in with Aramex. Not a single issue. Did this 2 times, once for me, once for SO.

This happened to my package as well the portal stated its delivered and I signed for it and then it said afterwards unable to contact customer I called and the lady said its been delivered already so I said to who cause I sure as hell don't have it. Then she contacted the delivery team and they stated they were unable find my address and didn't have my contact number to verify. So I suspect something happened when they were "delivering" my packageNot the exact same experience as you but similar.
I ordered some iPhone covers and tempered glass screen protectors for myself from the US.
Overall the packaging looks and feels very much like a phone's packaging.
The day that I got the SMS for delivery, at about 12pm I get an SMS and an email to say that I signed for my package.
I then immediately called AGS Customer Support and tell them something is wrong here.
In summary the response was "You signed for the shipment, it shows your digital signature attached to your waybill".
I responded with something along the lines of "Okay, I have cameras in front of my house, I will show you the footage for the last 12 hours you can see not a single Aramex van was even in the road".
The call concluded and within 45 minutes the delivery guy came to drop my package and took my signature on his mobile signature thing.
It could've been a mistake.
But how on earth did he have my signature uploaded before I even signed?
Calling their support is also unbelievably frustrating. When I call (even for the first time), they answer, you hear them breathing and then they drop the called. I will call back immediately 4-6 times. Then they will answer me already frustrated while I'm maintaining composure. I've always gone with the thinking, "talk to me how you want, as long as the objective is achieved, I dont really care".
Call Centres with no accountability to QA behave this way.

Yeah, I luckily know the code, but aramex, like randomly, still say aftwards they are waiting customs. But code does mean it's released. The update is normally a glitch from their side.Google the code. Will take the guesswork out of the equation
