Article: Motorist arrested for R200 bribe

I'm more the entitled to show you that 1, 2, 3 or even 4 beers in a few hows is not above the legal limit. The majority have a very warped idea of BAC, limits and alcohol in general.

Its indeed a borderline. Will you drink and drive again? Will you bribe again if you were in same situation?

fudzy - get yourself in that situation yourself and lets how things change.

Thankfully I'm smarter than that. Why do you keep dodging my question regarding whether you'd buy the docket or not?

Okay... you were under then. Do you still think the best path is a corrupt one?

I wouldn't mind if you were apologetic for what you did but you seem to think that bribing is the right way to go.

What is your relevance to the thread exactly?

Super Grandmaster Fudzy has spoken :wtf: is that the best you can come up with

Offer was too low for Midrand I think lol. Good on the SAPS to discourage use of bribes.

Yeah, you too good for that sort of thing, we thank you for being so sober minded. Let's just hope you never end up on the wrong side of the law for whatever the reason. We salute YOU, Super Grandmaster Fudzy

I've done it,got pulled over for being on the phone with my boss on the hiway

Choice between: take a chance and answer or **** and drama at work? Meh I'd do it again thanks

I think we should close this thread before Dolby goes out driving drunk tonight purely in order to prove to MyBB how good he is at driving drunk.

Dolby, point made, okay? You don't think you were drunk. We understand.

+1

dude, his logic and mentality is the right one, whether he or others actually live up to this is uncertain from my side.
Its very easy to have high morals and preach, its also easy to say that will never happen to me...

I didn't answer because it's a stupid question?

I'd never expect you to do anything of the sort.

You're a step above us all.

Thanks. I'm certainly no angel, I've had my run ins with the law but I've accepted the outcome and touch wood, I walked away dodging a suspended sentence.

If people refused to pay bribes and took their punishment like men this country would be in a much better place.

It's good to have the right logic and mentality but not when you haven't been in a similar position or situation. Until then all you are doing is talking from a point of no experience. I bet you these folks with their high moral standards won't confess if they were in the same/similar situation and did the exact same thing Dolby did.

Oh please, Mybb is used by everyone to express there opinions all the time. Doesn't mean that we have to have a doctorate, thesis, 100 website links and a swearing in by a court official to express those opinions. Those opinions are every bit as valid as yours. If this is the case, please provide proof as to your opinion that one can not have an opinion unless we have experienced the situation first hand. I have an opinion that war is hell based on what I read, does that make my opinion wrong because I've never been to war.

And for the record, i have been asked for bribes before, haven't payed one in my life and never intend to.

Dude, when telling us about studies it would help if we could get a link...just one, to these studies. Not a thesis, or anything ridiculous. Just a link, to substantiate your claim.
I dont think thats too much to ask. Sure, you can have opinions, and you can express them. But when you say things like a study was done etc etc...it is no longer your opinion, its evidence/scientific studies that could be used to perhaps shed light or sway an argument.

Considering you cannot come up with this, I will take it that it was something heard from a friend of a friend and has been skewed through the communications..

Thread summary:

Breaking the law is ok if you feel you're not a threat. Even if this feeling could be caused by inebriation.
Breaking the law and adding to corruption is preferable to something that could be time consuming, or job threatening, or require effort or money.

Now we can move on to other discussions about the lawless savages and corrupt politicians that are ruining our country.

It does help to have *some* proof if you're contributing to a debate.

For example your study that *shows one passing out after half a glass of beer simply makes one question your credibility and any other facts will be dismissed - subconsiously or not.

You're more than welcome to add - but if you can't back anything up, your comments will be overlooked very quickly

* added for effect
