I have done some searching...
I cant find it, i highly doubt that every single person failed a standard test after 1 drink. Unless they failed the test before the drink as well ;(

Unless the drink was a pangalactic gargle blaster from the old morgans cat....and these people weighed 40kg and hadnt eaten in a week.....yeah, then i would believe it

Rules are there so that you think before you break them. If you want to break a rule, you need to have thought of ALL the implications that breaking that rule will entail: including the fact that 'I'm a super-macho alcohol metabolising machine!' is not going to stand up in court.

Dolby, let's paint another picture. If you left that bar, knocked over a pedestrian and were charged with culpable homicide/drinking and driving. Would you pay to have the docket disapear?

Why do people always want to paint a picture that is not relevant to the discussion... WHY?
Well in Dolby's case that picture never happened so it's not relevant.

yup, I reported it to the Police station, this happened outside of Zeerust, they have consequetive roadblocks there so being pulled over is nothing out of the norm, I haven't heard anything from them since, I don't expect to either.

not sure, but its mixed with water, and on a decent sized mail with food in his stomach i would probably say less than the limit more so than over...
As stated above though, i agree its not the best idea to take the chance.

I wouldn't mind if you were apologetic for what you did but you seem to think that bribing is the right way to go.

I have never bribed an officer ;) I did pay a spot fine when I could :D

It seems like a bunch of hypocrites on this forum. Drinking is not the only offence. And neither is speeding. Everyday when driving home I see cars ignoring red lights. And that include police and metro police. So everybody is just starting to follow in their footsteps.

fudzy - get yourself in that situation yourself and lets how things change.

Sit there and think 'ok - it's been a whistkey and water an hour ... so all should be ok. I feel nothing' and then the cop say 'well - you're over ... so now we go to the station and you sit there the enitre long weekend unless ...'

I'd like to you if you say 'well Mr Officer ... I feel I'm fine and I'm certain my BAC is under. I'd like you to arrest me now - and we'll sort out this matter on Tuesday' You may *say* you will - but I'd like to see how far you will go ...

And in that same situation, I'd it again.

I'm not as almighty as most here and will willingly go to jail to prove a point and fight a wrongful arrest suit for the next few months ; losing income for time off and paying R1,000s to blunomores husband ...

Actually - that's relevant to both the thread and to my argument.

I'm more the entitled to show you that 1, 2, 3 or even 4 beers in a few hows is not above the legal limit. The majority have a very warped idea of BAC, limits and alcohol in general.

Get real proof and not what some tv advert said as anyone can claim he/she saw some tv advert to back up his point of view. Thus far you claim has no backing and until then you have no proof.
