Article: No white men for SAA cadet program: union

The South African Airways uses an unfair admittance policy for its cadet pilot development programme, which does not admit white males, trade union Solidarity said on Thursday.

Well they can always apply at Telkom...no...wait...

The saddest thing is when the (Black )HR lady phones you tell you.

You are exactly what we want, just the wrong race. Then goes on to explain that they have filled the position 3 times already with BEE candidates but two were fired for criminal behavior and the other one for lying on his CV and not being able to do any of the work... In the las 8 months. :wtf: no I'm not making Shyte up.

Then sighs and says she is so tired of this bee Shyte and wish they would just appoint people that can do the work.
Thank you for applying but you are white.

Lovely.

Hands Vaseline around for the white people left in SA.

Well I will not be supporting them then, as with everyone else I will send this article to...

Why is HR always the first position to ''transform''?

Hehe, where was this I wonder? Kenya?

I have never ever in my life seen and neither contemplated such fear by any nation of the whitey that their offspring have to be outrightly blocked from equity and competition in real life! How sad to live in such fear for a fellow being or have so little faith in oneself!

You never heard of Apartheid job reservation and exclusions?

Yeah, a long time ago but it was not because of fear for the competition. ;) Those current prospective and budding young pilots to be had nothing to do with Apartheid. It's time to stop riding the old donkey and start looking for new excuses or allow the young generation to compete on equal grounds. Only brainless fools that fear the young and upcoming generation of young kids think of excuses and methods to keep them out of the competition. The only reasonable reason that could be still valid is the fear of the young guys excelling to the top and thus need to be kept out of the loop at all costs.

I just wonder how the idiots that got their job's feel when they know it's not because they are qualified for the job but rather that they are given the position so to speak whether they can do the job or even deserve it or not. Zuma's son is one such pathetic idiot.

I'd rather have a black pilot fly me on a Kulula or British Airways flight thank you very much.
I cannot trust an operator who selects their pilots based on race instead of merit and skill.
We don't need taxi drivers in the air.

But SAA have being doing it since their first flight. No difference to the politics of SAA today than when it got founded in 1934.

I never supported them prior to 1994.
So we are saying the SAA's policies are just as bad as they were in apartheid? So much for progress.

Lovely just lovely.

Being a pilot isn't this flashy bling bling life. It is quiet middle class, I know a BA pilot. Not everybody wants to be a pilot.
It's extreme hard work for something you can't work harder that the allowed hours. So your income is capped.
No partying, no drinking.

It's not top gun.

These days it's kind of "illegal" to call any black(swart) person a racist as we all know that black(swart) people suffered so much during apartheid that they are sort of exonerated from any type of criticism in any form. They are allowed to be themselves in the "Rainbow Nation" and will never be able to see the fault in their own actions until the end of time or death...whichever comes first.
