When I first moved here, I got into an argument with the petrol attendant as I wanted to fill my own tank and didn't want to pay extra for the attendant to do it. It was actually quite funny

They earn hardly anything, they should really get more.
It is easy. You have to pay for your fuel before filling up and then just go and pour the amount you paid for. Bye bye attendants, thanks for coming!!

What an ignorant thing to say. Nearly every attendant i have talked to is looking for better employment. I have even been handed a few cvs and phone numbers to help some search.
If you are going to employ someone to do a job pay them a decent wage with minimum wage being the start. Or else don't employ them.
I don't buy the bs that they are doing anyone "a favour" by employing pump attendants.
Anyone know which law that is ?

Ask the guy on the corner what would he prefer to earned: hardly anything or nothing at all. People should start to look around and be grateful for what they have!

What the hell is the point of t his law? Do away with it straight away. I will pour my own god damn petrol! If need be ... I will just get a lesbian from somewhere to check my tyres and oil ... problem solved.![]()

Sheltered employment plain and simple....
I'm sure it's mainly to create jobs.
They are all earning at least minimum wage. Some of them much more.
