Namaskar is quite nice. Can't remember the area. I've also been to Vagaar in Moreleta Park which wasn't bad. Not top notch Indian cuisine but they're both fairly decent...

Ghazal in Sunninghill is consistent ... but that is not the authentic KZN curry … same menu as all the other North Indian Restaurants ... place that I can tolerate is Chilli Grove in Midrand …. http://www.chilligrove.co.za/ - they have their good days ....
Those of you in Durbs should know the hotel where the best curry in the country is served. I can't remember the name (I'm ashamed) but it really is renowned for serving the best curry in South Africa at decent prices. They only do a beef and lamb curry as well. Someone help my shocking memory please.
EDIT: it is an old hotel - not altogether prestigious. They're known mostly for their curries and their lunch-time specials...
Decided to give the curry palace a go in the ferndale shopping centre...looked pretty dodgy from the outside but was one of the best curry meals I have had...

Has to be Willowvale Hotel on Umbilo road. Best bunny I had and that was almost 10 yrs ago. Place looks dodgy but food makes up for it.
Bah I had a bunnie there on Sunday morning and it was awful, the bread was drenched through with that bright red oil :vomit: I have had good bunnies there before but that really spoilt the rest of my day.
Ah that's really disappointing to hear. They've always been a top-notch curry house...![]()
you going to struggle to find a decent curry that side of the boerewors curtain
[wait I lie - there's a great spot out near silver lakes ... one tends to forget that is even a part of PTA- can't remember the name right now, but it's in a shopping centre as you turn off to the golf estate from Lynwood]
Tranna's, at the Hazeldean center? We've ordered there thrice and love the food. It's a hidden gem IMO
Lol, there's something about dodgy and good food that I cannot explain but hell yeah the dodgier the better the food![]()

Delhi belly is not always attributable to the food, it's also from the water ;-)
