Namaskar is quite nice. Can't remember the area. I've also been to Vagaar in Moreleta Park which wasn't bad. Not top notch Indian cuisine but they're both fairly decent...
That's off Church Street, bordering Queenswood. Excellent food and atmosphere, but rather pricey too.
yep, Curry Palace is great and Chicken Tikka Masala is awesome...Actually had it tonight, Ferndale shopping centre, corner Main & Oxford, Randburg, Do it!
now go try bombay palace, in the saints centre opposite olivedale clinic (coincidence)

Was recently in Chennai - wow!! some of the best food I have eaten. I dont know how the Indians do it (or maybe I am not going to the right places in SA) but the hot food is really really tasty - but in SA I find the hot food is mainly just hot - not tasty.

Hot food in India is spicy and hot food in SA is just lots of red chilly powder.
Pakistani place here for a short while that made lovely curries but they sold it to normal Indian okes and it closed shortly afterwards.
