Awesome Gnome themes

Thanks for the link. Some of those themes are awesome!

Could the linux newbie ask for some help in installing them though please? I tried using Gnome's theme manager with no luck and I tried following the instructions included with a theme and no dice. Any help would be great. :D

Edit: took out the screwy KDE reference.

Dont think you can use gnome themes in KDE as they are different. With gnome, you take the downloaded file, drag and drop it into the "theme" window and it will install. I find that it does not always work nicely. Constantly icons and backgrounds etc missing so it hardley ever looks like what they have on the screenshot. They should package themes in .deb packages where it installs everything you need to make it look like the screenshot.
 
Argh ... I'm such an idiot. I'm using Ubuntu and not Kubuntu which means my GUI is Gnome yes? So I should go and take that KDE out of there. *blush*

But yeah, I tried the drag and drop and it didn't work at all. Tried dragging and dropping the tarballs and the unpacked files but neither worked.
