I just joined axxess with an uncapped account and during the weekend it was quite good. Does the account get throttled for torrent use during the week? Torrents is downloading at 5 kilobytes a sec suddenly.

Speed tests on the line reads maximum so it must be torrents.
 
Is anybody else having issues with Axxess today? Nntp speeds of 5 B/s. (that is bytes, not kb!!!!) Speedtest seems fine. This is on a business uncapped account.

Gaming latency is around 140ms for a local server. Same old same old.
 
high latency from Stellenbosch to JHB

Hi,

Was yesterday (11th) and the day before that (10th) an exception with regards to stability & latencies, because our latency + packet loss graphs aren't looking well at all (granted once the IP address changed, dyndns only refreshes on the hour). Like here is our Zabbix graph, where I monitor our Axxess ADSL line (in Stellenbosch) from a dedicated server (hosted at Hetzner JHB):

Like the typical latency should be around 28ms, and instead it averaged 100-140ms the past 2 days.

I ran WebAfrica account side-by-side at times, and it had no latency issues whatsoever.

Yesterday there was a fibre break in Gauteng affecting any connection in that area. If you are still having issues today, please DM us your info so we can investigate.
 
How long does it take to have my adsl line installed through Axxess? I am still waiting for my phone line to be installed by telkom. Should I first apply for an adsl line from telkom and then transfer it or can I apply directly for the adsl line from axxess?

You can activate the line through Axxess, this normally takes anything between 2 days and 6weeks all depending on port availability etc. You can PM us if you have any more questions.

I'm having another bout of my usual weekend evening internet woes. I'm connected at full speed but my network icon says no internet access. Rebooted my router and same story.
