Any feedback on how long delivery takes on the sim only deal ?
Seemingly never. They told me to wait 7 to 10 business days and these have come and gone. Utterly useless - it is just a SIM for crying out loud. Axxess remains silent unless I phone them and swear at everyone.
Still haven't recieved my Rain LTE device and sim. Its now going into week 4. The wait is redicilous. They luckily havent billed for the service this month (R0), so that's a plus a least.
I don't understand why a sim only deal can take so long. I was thinking about getting one but if this is how long they take I'll rather leave it.
I send a message to Axxess and asked how long a sim only deal delivery takes. Their reply - 10 days :wtf::wtf: How can a sim delivery take 10 days ?
My 10 days have come and gone. Just for a SIM.
For a sim, that's ridiculous. I can understand the device shortages but just for a sim it shouldn't take that long.
By this, you can see its the upsteam provider (Rain) that's got a back log (or other issues) it seems.
My 10 days have come and gone. Just for a SIM.
Kindly note that our LTE-A hardware supplier is currently working through a backlog of orders.
Being the only RAIN provider in South Africa, they estimate completion on all backlogged orders will be done over the course of the next 2 weeks.
I've ordered 2 of these promotional devices - still waiting for delivery - and with each week that passes, I am given the "supplier / shortage" story and that delivery will take another one to two weeks.
What's interesting is that there are a couple of online retailers that have an abundance of the same device and will deliver to my door within 3 days.
It's pathetic. It's sad. And most frustrating.
I cancelled the axxess order last week, ordered afrihost, got both devices today, not sure who's smoking what in logistics
You did? Which device did you get?
The free b315 ones
shew ok if you had said the 618 there would have been riots (online, virtual safe behind the keyboard riots, but riots) :crylaugh:
