Axxess Launches LTE-A

I ordered from afrihost on 13th and no router up to now. Promised next week after order placement, then another week, then lead time was 8 weeks, after I've got sms saying two to three weeks... Customer service is useless....

Seemingly never. They told me to wait 7 to 10 business days and these have come and gone. Utterly useless - it is just a SIM for crying out loud. Axxess remains silent unless I phone them and swear at everyone.

I don't understand why a sim only deal can take so long. I was thinking about getting one but if this is how long they take I'll rather leave it.

I send a message to Axxess and asked how long a sim only deal delivery takes. Their reply - 10 days :wtf::wtf: How can a sim delivery take 10 days ?

Still haven't recieved my Rain LTE device and sim. Its now going into week 4. The wait is redicilous. They luckily havent billed for the service this month (R0), so that's a plus a least.

I know all experiences aren't the same, but I cancelled the Axxess order after week2,ordered on Afrihost last week and got the shipping email today
They are lucky the Mybroadband awards werent after Rain LTE became available ;)

My 10 days have come and gone. Just for a SIM.

For a sim, that's ridiculous. I can understand the device shortages but just for a sim it shouldn't take that long.
By this, you can see its the upsteam provider (Rain) that's got a back log (or other issues) it seems.

I think you're probably right.

After phoning the supplier again yesterday, I was told delivery would be by latest next week Tuesday (14th of November). I received a tracking number by SMS this morning. I am not holding my breath that it will be delivered this week. I sent a complaint yesterday about how badly the whole situation is handled and have not gotten a reply yet. I included that I paid Axxess, not the 3rd party they are using and expect them to keep my up to date and not expect me to keep phoning people. Seemingly they do not care about the customers at all.

I signed up the minute I heard about the offer and have been an axxess client for a while now..............more than a month now and all I get are excuses, no service!!!

They sent out this today again:
Kindly note that our LTE-A hardware supplier is currently working through a backlog of orders.

Being the only RAIN provider in South Africa, they estimate completion on all backlogged orders will be done over the course of the next 2 weeks.

I've ordered 2 of these promotional devices - still waiting for delivery - and with each week that passes, I am given the "supplier / shortage" story and that delivery will take another one to two weeks.

What's interesting is that there are a couple of online retailers that have an abundance of the same device and will deliver to my door within 3 days.

It's pathetic. It's sad. And most frustrating.

I cancelled the axxess order last week, ordered afrihost, got both devices today, not sure who's smoking what in logistics

shew ok if you had said the 618 there would have been riots (online, virtual safe behind the keyboard riots, but riots) :crylaugh:

618 isn't in stock anywhere so understandable,I had a 2 week wait for the 315 from axxess and no feedback till cancellation :)
