Axxess uncapped express + SCREWED

make sure the port is entered correctly into uTorrent, and click on the speed guide... somewhere under options.

A small window pops up, and you can click a box that says something along the lines of "test port forwarding"

Give that a click and post the results please

:)

Also signed up last night - got full speeds the whole evening and still going strong for the time being.

great service.

lol yup for the time being you will but just wait for the rolling cap to come in, bye bye speed :)

p.s. downloaded from about 11 last night until 8 this morning and could only manage a useless 404meg, on my telkom account i can do a gig an hour so something is not right somewhere.

you get sorted? this doesnt sound like the router?

maybe its the line that is not syncing properly or something ... I dunno!

Okie complained to axess last week and got a response today which incl the response from the I.S. guy which was "What needs to be done is for the client to not hit their cap."

I am paying 999 for what ?????

Issue was pathetic speeds even when uncapped and no changes after hours or on weekends as axxess states will happen.

They have just lost a client, there is no way i will accept such poor service and have to pay exhorbitant amounts of money for the same.

Cheerio Axxess it has not been a pleasure

Fark boet - can't believe that attitude from them.

I've had the service since the 2nd of April and every evening and weekend my speeds change to full 4mbit uncapped and I get 420kb/s from NewsDemon newservers ... I've done about 120gigs so far this month.

Sorry to hear this.

I stay in the somerset west area, and I have had very poor downloading from Axxess on the 384 fibre express account at night for over a week now. In fact last night it died completely. It came on again, but not before I tried a Telkom 3GB account AND a Telkom 4GB unshapped account. The interesting thing was the performance on ALL of them was low. I have noticed that my upload speed on all has also been reduced from the previous 512 to 480Kbits. Anyway, I think I need to check out Telkom and get them to test the line.

surely it says clearly what the package entails, by now you should know that every uncapped deal is not fully uncapped and thats why its called express, and all the adsl packages are nation cripplingly overpriced

Not sure who you talking to but just to point out i have telkom and webafrica accounts to compare to and axxess is 50 yes 50 times slower than either of them so go figure.

50 times slower roflmao, never knew webafrica was providing 200mb/s:P
@ Limos yes if you have a telkom line at 1-4mb(fastest adsl), then with a 384 account R999 (should be R199) after hours you will achieve 4mb/s unless you have a problem with your line or telkom go down, get telkom to test the line, they will probably do it anyway if you are upgrading to fastest adsl, justy to make sure
