My prediction for this week's lineup: Brussow, Russow and M.Steyn to start. Pienaar, Barby and Kankowski on the bench.

I would like Fourie to start as well, but they got to keep AD in there to keep the quotas up.

Can't wait for the game.

Why not? There you go again being so PC. Have the Lions coaching staff condemned Sheridan's "grope" in any fact, form or fiction? They haven't formed any public opinion on the matter which suggests they have none on the matter other than it's fine.

Is a man losing his eye to gouging any less serious than a man losing his balls to a punch/grope?

You miss the point. The Lions coaching staff were not questioned about it by the media afterwards. They also did not then go on to say they had seen the footage, which millions had, and could not see any problem with what had happened! They did not merely dismiss eye gouging as something that happens in the heat of the moment... Pieter De Villiers did!

And do yourself a favour, do a quick google of "eye gouging" and "rugby union" and then tell me whether eye gouging is seen as being far worse than punching (any body part) in rugby!

Please show me the facts. 2 banns in his career before this.

One for a high tackle... one for shouting at a touch judge, IIRC

If you are going keep saying this please provide so stats as to his offences (dirty play).

Burger added to his long list of previous citings after being shown a red card. Referee Phillip Bosch first sent Burger to the sin bin for a ten minute rest after pulling down a Cheetahs player at a line-out in Bloemfontein just inside the half-hour mark.

Google is your friend.
Oh ands just because he is not cited doesnt mean he is not a dangerous player.

I know try and use it to find his "criminal rugby" record.

And by that deffinition John Smit is a dirty player..... Innocent untill proven guilty is the general rule of thumb isn't it?

No it isnt, if you see something on TV and the ref doesnt see it or he is not cited that doesnt make him innocent now does it? ;)

Yes I can see that you are on the board that does these citings and you opinion on foul play is the alfa nad omega of opinions.

Its rugby not ballet. And if you can not find proof(ps that excludes your opinion) of schalk being a dirty player than please go find some or please start adding a IMO to your posts...

Good :) Ps I have very small feet :p

Ps I prefer Brussouw playing above Burger but the tag of dirty player is not valid.

Bud I am not saying you and Schalk are lovey lovey, I am just saying maybe you know him personally?
I dont like him as a player, he is a dangerous player and is not always cited I M O .
That is all.

:D

See now I can say each to his/her own and no problem :p

I don't know him personaly but one of my friends does and from what I have heard he is not the type of person to go around collecting eye balls :)

I say again he should be punished for his misconduct but IMO no player would seriuosly try and scratch another players eye out.

Just glad Brussouw will now start again :D

And that's his biggest problem, the tag of dirty player... He is abrasive and physical and in your face, the true epitome of what a rugby player should be but refs watch him and blow him for anything resembling foul play. It's ludicrous.. Rugby's becoming a sport for nancies..

The Waughs sold information to Indian bookies pertaining to team selections, pitch reports and strategies and what punishment or condemnation did the ARU hand them? They handed Waugh the captaincy as punishment. Hansie does the same thing and is condemned and alienated from every quarter.

Methinks you've got your "Wars" mixed up.*

Mark "Afghanistan" Waugh along with Shane Warne (no relation) were fined by the ACB for taking money from bookies in return for info on match conditions and team selections.

They never influenced the outcome of the match in favour of the bookies either directly or indirectly by pressuring other younger players.
The ACB did not 'stand up' for them, although you can argue about the severity of the punishment.

Steve "Tugger" Waugh was never accused or even suspected of (or even whispered about) any breach.

* "Afghanistan" because for years he was the "Forgotten War" and "Tugger" as in "Tug-o-War" for his toughness.

The Aussies actually put some thought into nicknames...now tell me about the origin of "Bakkies":erm::D

Well the Botha's coming from a poor background could not afford a fancy gym for their son, however, Mr Botha's 4 X 4 was often seen being rolled down their street by their son... and Bakkies Botha was born...

Yeah, whatever. You just believe that little myth. All Aussie players are called Tugger as it is the polite way of calling them all W@nkers!

And, for your information, it was only in Australia that there were no whispers of other Australian players playing a part in the match fixing scandal...
