Looks to me like your multimeter is set up just as his drawing in the first Pic, No?He did. Me and my nephew both agree we will check again ASAP.

the way hes testing is correct but that reading is horribly wrong ,unless your battery is cooked or the meter is not right ,4.9v across battery is a dead battery ,may never recoverIt was higher on Saturday. Kept reading around 2.70. The lowest it came to was 2.

It has been checked. The alternator is new and replaced recently.
Wiring good there.
This was done yesterday evening when it was dead again.post 27
is that 4.8V over the battery.
Get a new battery.
I did. I hope it's something simple that I can fix or replace.Seems like it could be any number of problems.
Best to take it to an auto-electrician. It won't cost much - make sure you ask for a quote beforehand and get it in writing.
If that battery has been drained to those levels too many times it’s near toast by now. This was done yesterday evening when it was dead again.
I'm hoping the battery is still good. Even if it's not, I need to fix the issue or a new battery will also be ruined. If that battery has been drained to those levels too any times it’s near toast by now.
Get it up to 13v or so then do the testing, but as mentioned, spend an hour on an auto electrician's time.I'm hoping the battery is still good. Even if it's not, I need to fix the issue or a new battery will also be ruined.
It went to 13 on Saturday before we started testing. I'm hoping the battery hasn't been ruined by all this as the battery itself is 8 months old. I have reached out to 3 places to get prices before I decide.Get it up to 13v or so then do the testing, but as mentioned, spend an hour on an auto electrician's time.

What was their diagnostics then?I did. I hope it's something simple that I can fix or replace.
Take the car to an auto electrician FFS...they'll find the problem within an hour max.
