Battlefield 5 (2018)

Is the vehicle play improved from the beta? My biggest issue was the infantry cqb focus of the beta maps, the vehicles in those were also lumbering behemoths that I'd just kite.
wtf, I sit around 60fps on medium with an rx580

I've never played a Battlefield game before. Got a key for Battlefield 5 now though so keen to give it a try.

Am confused, wasn't moaning about frames, was wondering if the vehicles had received some polish as they felt off during the beta.
Sorry, long day at work. I quoted the wrong person

Disable vsync.
It is disabled

Maybe its my 3 year old i5 with 8GB RAM

Although my CPU usage is only 40% and BF only uses around 3.5GB memory

Hahaha I never found them too toxic. No revs sure but was never bagged by a squadie. There was a clan called SAW that hogged the planes and tanks in bf1, they were toxic af. They got even saltier when I made it my mission to stop their rampages.
I will spend a whole round on an AA gun, getting bombed to pieces (although I get some kills bow and again). Had a pilot all chat about spawn camping.

If the players are too dumb to realise that bombing just me and not the rest of the team is my goal, then that's a bonus.

Also shooting down aircraft with rocket launcher is serious fun.

I have a 5-year-old i5, though I did upgrade my RAM from 8 to 16 GB recently. Also got myself a GTX 1060.

Get more RAM.

So hows this game doing on the local servers?
Would hate to buy this and then get stuck with empty servers in SA.

Meh. Last few months the Battlefield 1 local servers were desolate - couldn't get any local games. Skipping BFV. Just not worth the investment. It has become a hassle to find nice games, even on international servers (ping a problem). I think it is time for Battlefield to go the P2P multiplayer route. But it forms part of their revenue, so won't happen.

P2P as in community servers? That'd be awesome, think 4 was the last one with community servers but I stand to be corrected.

Hi, think I might know what your problem is. I run 1080ti, at this moment getting about 110-140 frames in the game, i used to only get 75 FPS.

If you enable DX12 with Future frame rendering off, you will get boosted frames. If your DX12 is disable, enable FFR then it boost it as well. Please note that FFR enable does give you input lag, so I advise to enable DX12 instead. The only issue with this function, it cause your CPU usage to run about 80%+, only Ryzen CPU's run at very low cpu usage.

If that didn't work, then I guess it is time to upgrade!

Bought the EA premium setup last night, for a month.
I rate I'll get my moneys worth out of BFV for the next week until the new Path of Exile league launches.
Going to be rough not using the STG44 like in the beta :D

I started the campaign .... BF always delivers, great graphics, loved the cinematic intro. Have not yet tried MP yet... been to busy on BLOPS 4 :p...

Going to get a RX Vega 64 soon, replace my ageing R9 390X ....
