Being single rocks!

Lets see here! You live with 4 bros and a dad and you do all their dirty work!

You've got Cinderella syndrome so obviously you're not getting enough attention at home!

GET A BOYFRIEND!

Lol actually three brothers and of course a father. i have an older sister and mother so it's not that much work as i have alreay said.

Unlike cinderella, i don't speak to all sorts of rodents, so i doubt i have "Cinderella Syndrome".

Lol it's December, why on earth would i want a boyfriend this time of the year?

-LiLiTh- does sound perfect, but I doubt she is... there's one major thing that will set her apart from any other woman and that's: Does she love movies? And Can she be quiet during that time/comprehend what happens/read into the ambiguity?

Or, is she one of those "poppies" who say they love movies, then rarely wants to go to a movie (and I mean, before I get depressed I usually go to movies at least once a week and can usually recall several scenes afterward etc... for example "Fight Club" didn't confuse me like it did some other people  same with Memento or The Buttefly Effect: Directors cut)

What kinda movie-watching freaks do you know?
There are rules in a movie!
1. Shut up and watch the movie. You'll know what happened if you pay attention.
2. Don't ask me what just happened. See point 1. Also, if you do, I'm going to miss the next bit, and be irritable.
3. If you take out that cellphone during the movie and I see that light, you're never invited to movies again!
4. If you don't like it, don't say you do. I'd rather go alone than have someone who doesn't want to be there bothering me. In fact, I'd prefer it.
5. If you've just watched the movie, you should be able to discuss it. This goes for anything! Even the worst popcorn flick (although those should be avoided. Unless they're fun).
6. The above all applies to the previews as well.

Well if you were dumb you wouldn't be able to do that now would you?:D

Is this a reflection of the type of women you date?

Time for a major change mate... really...

Huh? Yea I try to find a woman that loves movies and she pretends like she does for the first few months and then when she realizes I'm serious about my love for movies she stops wanting to go... ? Why is that wrong? Having someone to go with you to a new movie each week... one of my friends married his girl and they still go to the movies each week like clockwork. Been 11 years now

Ok! Ok! No need to be offended!

Jeez you women are so touchy!

But deep down you do want a bf! Especially this time of the year 'cause they can buy you shiny little things!

this thread is epic.

What is it with people and movie dates... its so outdated!

And this, ladies and gentlemen, is one of the many reasons why AvatarS is and always will be cooler than all of you.

You're one unlucky sod.

My brother and his girlfriend always go to the movie lol even though she recently gave birth to twins.

YOU NEED TO FIND A BETTER GIRL:D

'strue:p
(also the fact that I am not a chickflick fan and avoid 'em ;))

I'm not under 18... but thanks for the compliment...:D

The first quote generally contradicts the mindset of the denial on the second quote. You don't want to be single so you can get random sausage. Fun fun fun. There goes my idea of finding at least SOME evidence that a young girl doesn't have the need to have the whole rugby team pound her senseless... anyway

Amen. I'm used to going alone. And get this, when I do take a girl out to the movies and all she wants to do is fondle my shiznit or make out, I'm highly irritated. Obviously I choose the "lets get out of here and go back to my place" but it only means I have to spend another R20+ odd to go re-watch the movie... or wait for it to come out on DVD to watch it again.

Point #5 is spot on... even with the crappiest movie there's usually 1 or 2 good scenes, or really bad ones that it's laughable. Being able to go, "lol, how stupid was that one when the *insert explanation of the scene* ?!" and them going, "huh? when did that happen?"

I sometimes wonder if I was in the same theater at the time...

Movie dates might be outdated but there's always something new to go watch, and like I said, I love movies. So it's not really a burden for me to go once a week. My friends (who got married last year) goes weekly, and have been going weekly since they started dating. Sometimes they go more than once a week.

And I got them both hooked on Ultima Online all those years back, so him and his wife plays WoW most of the time now. And whenever they're not playing WoW, she's busy cleaning/cooking/shopping and he's off doing some fixing around the house. Or movies. :)

Who the Hell still does movie dates?

. Meet a girl
. Enjoy her company and chatting to her
. Then ask her: Your place or mine

From there do activities or something. Nothing as borring as sitting in a movie theater :erm:

I'm quoting myself /vain

Another point is, why go to the same movie theater? Generally I'll combined it with some dinner before (or after, depends) and it's usually at a different shopping mall.

Once I drove 40k+ to Cavendish just to go to a movie there because I've never been... or I'll go gambling at Grand West and then go to the movies... I have this rule, if I lose all my money I go to the movies. If I win R500 I go to the movies. :D
