Black rape furore

Free speech is an illusion. If your opinion does not match the PC majority you can be fired/ostracized/jailed for it. What a joke.
 
It's not about being "politically correct", it's about spreading ignorance and discriminating. Even some of us in our limited IT jobs have enough education and knowledge to know it isn't "kulcha".

Mybb is another place to look at the limitations of free speech. Comparing afrikaners to rednecks gets closed after 4 pages, muslim threads constantly get locked, etc. Everyone has issues, not just the majority
 
Free speech by definition means people are allowed their views, even if it is uninformed. Certainly things like hate speech have no place, but my issue with the way things are currently is that you can say something that is factual, and its a real issue, like rape of babies, and because it offends someone you are not allowed to discuss it at all. What this lecturer wrote about is not ignorant or uninformed. Its touching on a much larger issue that revolves around how in African culture men view women and children very differently to the way we do in western culture. It manifests in things like rape of babies, rape in general, and in the way women are treated in African society. There are myriads of proofs of this but we are not allowed to discuss it without fear of some sort of reprimand!?!?! Its a joke. So here is my free speech in action:

Traditional African cultural attitudes towards women and children are in some respects backwards and wrong and it needs to change. Strides are being made in the right direction currently thanks to organizations like the ANC woman's league who hold massive power but there are still big issues that remain and need to be faced.
 
this world is so sick. seems all the whites are pedophiles and the blacks rape babies. generalization.

they all deserve to be dragged outside, and shot in the head.

Unfortunately a spade is only a spade when white people are under the spotlight. Blacks & their culture, nah, even if they regularly use it to justify their 'otherwiseness'.

You just have to look at the platform that it was delivered on as well, totally the wrong audience, or 'right' audience depending on your opinions on the so called cultural protection organisation's website.

I'm certainly liberal on some issues. Maybe not all. I'm definitely not conservative. What does that have to do with the price of tea in China?

I don't understand why people automatically assume that if I hold this stance I must never have experienced the murder of a loved one. It is asinine.
 
Actually, an unbiased examination of comments on MyBB will show that it's the centre aligned people who get shouted down the quickest. Extremists on both sides have the loudest, most vociferous voices.

And, God/Allah/Jehovah/Yahweh/Krishna/Buddha/ancestors forbid that anyone point out anything that can be construed as attacking white privilege or acknowledge current good being done by government.

It's rare that a debate does not rapidly deteriorate into the two extremes - people in the middle who are able to hold a balanced view are quickly relegated to the ignore zone.

Some of us live in the real world where things are not black and white, where we have white, black, Indian, colored, Jewish, Muslim, Hindu, Christian, atheist, foreign, old, young and middle aged friends, family and colleagues.

Retreat to your simple stereotypes, it's a free country after all, but don't expect people to take you seriously.

Which culture says you must rape babies to cure AIDs? Again, don't say black culture, give me an ethnicity and a name
 
When was the last time any of these rapists used 'wanted to cure my AIDS' as a defense in court?

Marine1, give me a culture. Even in south africa, there are a variety of languages, beliefs, traditions and cultures. So which "culture" approves of raping babies?

Would you like me to show you what sects in india do to 1 year old babies to "bless them"?
 
Kleijn spent three years interviewing 10 men in maximum-security prisons around South Africa, all of whom were serving long sentences for raping children younger than three.

She wanted to “understand the why”. She emphasised that understanding the behaviour was not excusing it. But, if you can understand “the why”, then maybe you can start to find a solution. “If you show empathy for a rapist, it is not the same as showing empathy for their act,” she said.

She found that the men were all “severely damaged human beings”, and it’s for this reason that they did what they did. They feel no empathy or remorse because they don’t know how.

“When I interviewed these men, when we did the final debriefing, they thanked me because they said it was the first time in their lives that someone actually listened to them without judgment, with empathy and with respect, and that says everything about what went so wrong – that no one listened,” Kleijn said.

It is also important to realise that rape is not about sex.

The victim just happens to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. Kleijn said rape was about power, and that all the men she interviewed had experienced high levels of anger before committing the rapes.
