This is just a marketing ploy from Eskom. "Loadshedding" is done on purpose so that they can justify massive price hikes early next year. Well that's my theory.

Can anybody remember the time before they started to build Medupi and Kusile?

Yup.

Typical good guy bad guy tactics. Apply some pressure, threaten to apply extreme pressure, then accept 50% of what was asked for and the mark thinks he won.

Try again. Based on the capacity of the diesel gens they have and the hours they run them per day...try R100m per day.....

So try 30 million PER DAY not 2 million a month.

So try 30 million PER DAY not 2 million a month.

So the R10bn is about the right no in the last annual report. Do some rough calcs.

R10bn/12 months = R830 m /pm / 30 days = R28m per day. So u correct.

Assume they get diesel cheaper at R10/l. This means they burn 2.7 million litres / day.

A typical tanker is 30 000 l capacity.

That is 90 tankers per day....I think this is conservative....
