BMW 320i vs 320D: your choice?

Wow, BMW 3 Series don't look like they used to. Plus BMW got bought out by Nissan? This deserves to be in the news section!!!

Seriously though dude, congrats :) I know it's been a long wait. How does it feel to not have the wind whistling through your hair on your bike?

You know, this thread is single-handedly stimulating the South African motoring industry. Wasn't GTX collecting his baby today as well?

Now Bunny, let me know next time you're in Centurion and we'll have that drag race, and maybe a braai afterwards (if I win).

Not yet, sales man said it should be ready tomorrow. I highly doubt it, consider past experience, but should be all good for Friday.

I have to admit, I was also thinking of buying a newer BMW since this thread but a diesel obviously.

However, it hit home that I won't be able to afford a new one for another 3 years. Just signed up for another degree (B.com Risk management) so I won't be able to really afford it and 2. I won't be driving it much because of the studying :o :D

I swear BMW owes me like commission or something. Them and Pizza Hut. And maybe SANRAL and the SABC too. *goes off to do the invoicing*
 
Oh hey, some BMW consumer advice I learned today (online -> it's not in any brochure): in the F30 BMW you can select between two different interior lighting schemes in your car. In the Sports varieties, these two modes are called Sport (white light) and Classic (red light). In the Luxury Line models, the two modes are called Luxury (white light) and Classic (red light).

Clever marketing on BMW's part, right? Same damn lights for two settings, but three different names for the modes.

Hey, I think my post on how to remove an e-Tag from a windscreen safely would have been very interesting to many people here. The fact that I promptly went to a SANRAL kiosk and got another bracket (for free -> bonus) and refitted it to my new car is my business.
 
It's ok Bunny, I don't tell you who to shoot in the back :p I find the beep that the e-Tag makes as one drives under every gantry to be quite soothing.
