One that was in stock
Would you mind me asking, when this was? When did you buy the car? Sorry for the many questions. Also, if the car was in stock, was it on the floor or in the warehouse (if you know)?

I bought in end of 2010. In December I signed all the paperwork.
I took delivery of the car on 3 Jan 2011. Thus that is when my motorplan started and expired 3 Jan 2016.
The car was brought up from somewhere and spent 2 weeks in the dealership.
Which dealership was this that did this to you? Sorry if I missed it
Do you think it is fraud? How does one know if the car is actually sold as "second hand"? Would it be on the registration document somewhere?
What I know for a fact, is that my manager definitely paid FULL new price with no discounts for the car.
No offense, but this is the silliest most useless advice you could have given. Do you know what a maintenance plan is?
I'm fully aware. What I'm asking is whether it running out two months earlier would really make a huge real world difference compared to all this drama regarding the issue.
I would simply have fought the fight should the car for some reason needed to have gone in during that period.
In my opinion anyway what it says in the book is what counts and if they don't want to honour it then the dealership who sold the car should foot the bill as they released it with that information.
That maintenance plan is an insurance policy. What if the motor packs up 1 day after it has ended? Who will foot the R100k bill? 3 months may sound like nothing, but anything can happen in those 3 months that could bankrupt the average owner should a major part on the car fail.
Maintenance plans aren't warranties, though?
Not sure I understand...If the motor packs up under motorplan, they have to replace...

Do you perhaps know how one does this? E-mail address perhaps?

Appears to be the current boss:
Makes sense in that regard...but was your boss ever going to extend it?
If not ,the point is somewhat irrelevant.
I'm also not a big believer in these things. Rather buy a reliable car than a plan for an unreliable one.![]()
Why is it relevanant if he wanted to extend or not? And what does it matter if you are a believer in these things or not. The point is, he was sold something and paid full price for it, yet did not get the complete package.
Would you be happy with purchasing a house, only to find the plumbing is only done to one of your two bathrooms?
Well interestingly, when confronted with all these facts now, the dealer made reference to a good trade in value they gave him on the deal. That is apparently the "discount". They mention this now. 4 years down the line. At time of sale, NONE of this was mentioned. And to add insult to injury, the trade in they offered him at the time, wasn't even highest he was offered as he was offered higher by other dealers.
But yeah....mention it now as if it was something special on a deal 4 years back, all as a disguise to cover up blatant fraud. Zero ethics and morals.
