I had to be a bit patient i guess....
It worked and because the whole week I have been sms's i had 3 Login infor and managed to use them all at once.

Using Telkom Guest but getting to the page that says your data is depleted and there's options to purchase more.

Don't know why its does this.

Smoke and mirrors. I just bought the pre-paid 2GB+1GB option and was told I have "10GB free WIFI" - but on asking a consultant, I was told that on prepaid it only works on a smartphone and there is no way to link to a secondary device, yet on this page - http://www.telkommobile.co.za/plans/wifi/#connect_to_hotspot it says prepaid customers DO get the free WIFI, but if I follow the instructions, I cannot see any way to do it.

Can someone from Telkom please comment?

There is no way to add a secondary device for prepaid users but if you are a postpaid customer you can add a secondary device, adding MAC:Address. Unfortunately the only way to make use of the free 10 GB free WI-FI is by using a smartphone or tablet, unfortunately you are unable to use your computer etc.

Have you recently rooted your handset ? If you've probably your handset doesn't support the feature for authentication.
