Braaibroodjies

we also use this type of grid for the broodjies: filling doesn't fall out and bread doesn't break when male braaier manhandles it with braaitiongs:

Well done on achieving that equality we've been fighting for.
:p

equality? pfft. do you let your wife come near the braai? the only time she comes close to the braai is to moan about the meat not being ready yet.

Vrou: "How far is the meat"
Barry: "About (closing one eye to measure) 2 meters" :D

1. you don't turn a braai broodjie with braai tongs ffs egg lifter for the win!
2. if you manage to have your heat even distributed after all the meat is done and a half bottle of klippies, good for you. I don't like to use them personally. Fire not the same everywhere. Some end up white and hard. Other just charcoal for next week's braai.

Cheese and tomato and onion is always a crowd pleaser

Pretty much the gold standard when it comes to braaibroodjies. Just dont forget the Mrs. Balls

This. A braai just isn't a braai without it..
The only ingredient I'd add on occasion is some garlic.

Use Case:
Meats done. Vrou bring the braai broodjies. Barry is honger. And bring another beer too please :D Lekker party hierdie. Vrou! What's taking so long. Barry is showing signs of malnutrition. I'm just busy toasting the inner bread for our lekker double decker braai broodjies. Maak gou! Die vuur vrek jissis!

Nah thanks, not for me.

:D

Hahahaha I burst out laughing reading this in my office.

/facepalm

is daai botter aan die linkerkant?

Jip. Maak nie eintlik saak vir my nie. Was maar net om hier te wys wat verskil is.

Buttered on outside can prevent burning the bread if you dont know what ure doing. And give it a nice golden colour. Might also make it easier to remove grom grid. But if u know what ure doing u dont need to bother with it.

Laat braai meraai.
Note the buttered one going more golden. Cant really taste the difference. (Using Stork marge, not butter)

Nope. I tried caramelised yellowpepper and onion today but it turned out too sweet. Not to my liking.
