If usually buy a 600mb data bundle from my airtime on a Top Up 315 package. When I run out of data I usually just add another 300mb or even a 600mb.

Would it be better to get a Broadband Advance bundle of 500mb? When my data runs out I wouldn't need to buy another bundle as I get billed the reduced rates?

Is my understanding of this correct?

Yes you are , the My Meg 500 Advanced is R185.00 and the out of bundle rate will be 34c

If you are using 600MB-1.2GB why not just get a MyGIG 1.2GB Std bundle for R289?

1.0GB Broadband Advanced bundle for R285, FTW!
...and get another 1.0GB between midnight and 5am free.

I will get this in the new month. I see the nightshift 1gb would fall away 1 Sept.
Night Shift is for voice calls after midnight on pre-paid, ends 31 October 2010.
Night Owl is for 1GB data after midnight on contract, ends 31 December 2010.

Edit: I see what you meant now, yes, always buy Vodacom bundles on the 1st of the month.
Best to ask VodacomData now so your migration can happen on the 1st.
