How exactly do you do it with Windows Explorer? The only help option I get is to open the Help and Support Centre, not the help function itself...

In your case it does lol... I run firefox and can browse in explorer...

Interesting, it does the same thing (albeit that it opens Internet Explorer) on the fresh install of Windows XP (with Service Pack 3) that I have installed on another computer. I'll investigate this further.

But it's a good alternative as well

I used Firefox in Windows and I'm using it in Linux too thank you very much. Never saw a more stable browser in my life.
