Bulk Emailing

Hey guys.

Do you know of any cool bulk emailing software that I can use to send a newsletter to my 6000+ members? I have already tried phplist and pommo, but I need something that could give me tracking too. Maybe if you know of something that has a monthly fee, this will also be fine.

Do you send out just HTML mail ? Also do you use a SMTP server of your own ?

I only send html mails and no, I dont have an SMTP server of my own.

You can do a script that will send it... and log it to a .csv which you can open in excel pretty easily... there is also an app called handymailer...

Campaign Monitor
Vertical Response
Mailchimp

Apparently Constant Contact is pretty good too.

I'm sure the type of tracking (s)he wanted has more to do with who opens the email, who clicks on the links and how many of those mails bounce with error messages etc.

However, there are other services out there (slow ones) like mailfire from Web Africa which you also might want to look into. The difference between iContact and Web Africa (except for the speed of sending out a couple of hundred thousand mails and the 100% guarantee from iContact that their servers won't be blacklisted) is that Web Africa charges per mail you sent out ("credit") and not like iContact which has a subscriber/contact limit * 5 you can send out. One might be more economical for you than the other.
