This, I cannot get this small.
Contract price diffs. 350MB to 500MB is R40.00
PAYGO price diffs 350MB to 500MB is R20.00

I want to increase my contract MB but I will be penalized by R20.00, I will have to wait for my contract to expire. Seems like there is a penalty for being on contract, or am I missing something?

"Contract price diffs. 350MB to 500MB is R40.00
PAYGO price diffs 350MB to 500MB is R20.00"

Where u getting those prices from???

Cause asfar as i know, Vodacom charges R189 for 500mb, R289 for 1gig, and R389 for 2gig

Prices are from mtnsp. And from the latest brochure. Check it out.

By the way, diffs means difference between 350MB and 500MB.

Ok, dumb question, can't figure out from MTN's website.

I have an MTN pay as u go sim that I use for my voicecalls.
Can I buy data bundles for it?
I don't want two sim cards.

As a Grandmaster, you should know. So me as a learner should learn from you.

If you click on DATA BUNDLES on the website you get to the costs of the various bundles.
Prepaid 350MB = R169.00
Prepaid 500MB = R189.00
Difference = R20.00

Contract prices in booklet states:(with E220 data card)
350MB = R209.00
500MB = R249.00
Difference = R40.00

Why are contract users being penalized by R20.00?
Do you see what I mean?

Dial 141 to transfer airtime to data bundle. For prepaid only. Follow voice prompts.

tx Marco

tx to you too. Whatever that means.

alf, have you been dipping into my case of beers?

ja but surely the extra R40 you paying for in a contract covers the modem?

No, it does not.
Modem with 350MB is R209.00 PM
Prepaid with 350MB is R169.00 PM

Modem with 500MB is R249.00 PM
Prepaid with 500MB is R189.00 PM

CAN YOU NOT SEE THAT I AM BEING PENALIZED FOR BEING ON CONTRACT WITH R20.00??????
I can't draw pics here to help you to understand.
You guys have been drinking my beer again.
:D

Check out this post: E220 on Extended Data 350Mb

You are not being overcharged, the difference is because of the free modem you have. Well in essence its not free... data bundles on prepaid and postpaid are exactly the same price.

Let me put it this way.
On contract, I pay R209.00 for 350MB (this includes the modem at R40.00) as prepaid is R169.00 (no modem)
Now if I want to upgrade to 500MB I will pay R249.00. Now the modem will cost me R60.00 as prepaid is R189.00
Do you see the R20.00 discrepancy?
Can anybody see this or am I going insane?
