What are the real world differences between SD and CF?

CF is merely faster than SD.
SD is 15/30MBps
CF = 45/60/90MBps.
Therefore, you can attain a higher fps with a faster card and get a larger number of continuous photos in.

And am I right in saying that if FPS is quicker, a 3 shot AEB would be faster too - meaning it would be far easier to take either moving HDR and handheld?

I know there have been discussions and reviews of all these cameras and the 7D is the winner - what does this mean?[/url]
[snip]
Focusing Screen : 60D = Fixed Interchangeable (3 types, optional) and 7D = Fixed (Transmissive LCD screen)

The 7D's focus screen has a translucent LCD display on it. In other words, in the viewfinder, it can overlay information on top of the image, where other camras only display information around the image.

Assuming the camera selects the fastest speed in AEB mode, yes. I quickly checked, the 50D selects the fastest speed. For information sake, the xxD series allows has two continuous mode settings, one is the advertised speed, the other is about half that.

Wow ok this thread of mine has derailed so badly but anyways :p

Been playing around with the 7D, and I'm loving it. Compared to the 450D, it's blazing fast... but I'm sure the CF Extreme Pro card is making a difference too (the 8fps continous shots were done with the 60MBps card), having the 50% speed increase over the regular model. <-- I did a little test on high-speed continuous and it did over 100 shots without filling up the buffer for jpeg shots at 18MP. Even Jpeg+RAW together is still very fast.
Autofocus on the camera is awesome, but I'm a manual focus nut, and the larger viewfinder is pretty useful in that regard.
