Really, not so strange for me. You have to have certain distinct qualifiers to be able to qualify for a R500.00-R1000 bail for murder. He just could not qualify.

Yeah, maybe. All I know and take from this is that the accused saved humanity a lot of future strife and further hurt by taking out a real criminal. It's a pity he has to pay for it.
