Capitec launches MVNO - airtime and data do not expire

I thought their users just wanted a bank that does banking. What's with all this other nonsense? They weren't even original with the name...
Who said? We want things that are uncomplicated. They did that with PAYG banking. They did it with rewards straight into your pocket. Now they're doing it with unbudgeted data.

Cell C roams off MTN now...
I have to say, since about a month ago my FNB Connect (Cell C) sim has seen a MAJOR improvement. Signal coverage is way better, data has been working all the time at acceptable speeds (previously it would simply just not work at all, a lot of the time)... I am thoroughly impressed with whatever changes has been made.

If data packages are still going to be split between daytime and nighttime data and further split between streaming and certain other websites, this will make no difference.

But this will make data more expensive, oh wait...
Maybe not more expensive, just unavailable.

It offers 100MB of data for R4.50, and 1GB for R45. The data never expires provided the SIM is used at least once every six months.
And in other news:

In partnership with Cell C, that is the problem.

Data and airtime that never expires ..... impossible, just ask the major Network operators. /sarcasm

Yea.. as much as I rooted (and used) Cell C. I don't think this will work out.

We just changed one Sim Card last month due to load shedding. When LS happens, Cell C becomes non-existent on their carrier here in Montana area. VC/MTN works fine...

Meh... Those prices... I prefer to stay with cell c and continue using a new package recently discovered: day by day.

I pay R99 for 30 days of daily 250mb. I don't even buy whatsapp bundle any more.

Ok, so now the goalposts have shifted. It's no longer banking but anything that's uncomplicated.

Soon they'll realise that paying people R100 for every R10,000 they spend is a spaza rewards scheme and launch an actual one called cBucks. By then I guess it wouldn't be jumping through hoops either. It's hard to keep up with you guys anymore...
