After owning ADSL for 4 months now and managing to average 18Gb of d/loading I've finally been capped - AND IT Sux. Does this mean I'm going to be monitored more strictly now ?

I can't even browse foreign sites, never mind d/load.

Telkom really need to reconsider there Capped bandwith and if they really want to limit, limit us to 64kb

Hey Darth Vader

Sorry to hear you're capped. Luckily there are only a few days left to the reset of the cap. Although I know it's very difficult without access to the world.

Has anyone got an alternative u/name / password for me - LOL

Oh well just about seen every South African site there is to see.

Time to dust of the old 56K modem

Ai, capped since 11:00 today.

Feel like mailing myself a couple of images over and over just to use the local bandwidth as internationally I can do swot. [:(!][:(!]

Try to open the Formula 1 site. 1 hour later, was still "opening".

i tell my friends in overseas to upload some good stuff they have to my local ftp server.
then i can go download frenzy even after capped. =)
my friends in overseas get upload speed of 16 k/s to SA ftp server.
also i spend plenty bandwidth by playing Counter-Strike on local server.

keep me posted on that ftp site ,sure i can add some interesting content

I've tried the local proxy server, and it did'nt work. I still get timeouts on international sites, and that was after 8pm.

But then I could be implementing it wrong.

So far, I heard nothing from them.

I also enquired from Megawan further detail on their expansion pakages, also no reply. Are these companies subsidaries of Telkom?[:(!]. Their service is sure not better.
