Also, has anyone with the Galaxy S4 loaded an additional data bundle on CellC?
 
Data seems to be dead in Midrand. Cant get data through on my RAZR. Was on 3G with full signal...but no data was coming in. Swtiched to 2G....but EDGE seems to be completely gone. Not comming up with the "E" indicator even. :-(

I will search a bit tonight and see if there is a similar solution for the Motorola phones.
 
Great speeds using 2100 MHz band. Got 1.5mbps dl and 0.5mbps ul speeds just now. Signal is just a slight issue but nothing bad though.

2100Mhz seems to be stable with odd disconnect but my speeds are over 1Mb/s... yay..

beats 5Kb/s on 900mhz
 
Worked on galaxy s4 at home on 2100mhz

Joburg cbd - dead! No throughput...

No difference to the 900mhz in the cbd - points to one thing only: overload

I also believe that that is one of the reasons they have not switched LTE on commercially (running on reframed 2100mhz)

Dead, Vaalpark. RAZR, Huawei, nada. Tried updates. Nada. Tried fix app. Nada. Went to cell c shop...rep says it's common. data is dead in the Vaal
 
Tried this and latency is Sooooooo much better. Download speed on average is about 200kB/s.

+22 to OP. One for each month my life has been a living hell.
 
900 MHz band:
Ping- 170ms
Download- 2213 kbps
Upload- 391 kbps

2100 MHz band:
Ping- 441 ms
Download- 358 kbps
Upload- 144 kbps
 
Was up for like 15 minutes this morning at full speed then dead again...Vaalpark. Went to cell c shop again yesterday. The rep told me they can't even log in at the shop. He was even trying his own cellphone lol. He asked me to go bring my laptop and buy a modem at another shop to download a software update for my ZTE modem. I lol'd. I asked him how can they sell modems that don't work...he was embarrassed and showed me a pile of modems that are going in for "Upgrade". I was shicked.

Down 470kB/s
Up 170kB/s

Some faith in Cell C has been restored.

I see alot of people are making use of this temp fix.. hopefully Cell C reads this thread and attempts a fix
