Cell C Huawei E1820 Modem

Does anyone know if the above will work on the 8ta network ?? Cannot bring myself to pay double for the same service I got last year :twisted::twisted::twisted::twisted:

Mmm notice the E182e is the unbranded version which can run on 850, 900, 1900, 2100 while the branded one 2100 only

My modem clearly states E1820 on the back. Cell C use 900MHz. Don't you think I would've had poor connectivity if the only support was 2100MHz? Also, 8ta use 2100MHz so even then, there will be no problem.

The Cell C E1820 is not locked, it will just work - just make sure that your settings are correct.

The Cell C E1820 works on all SA networks, and seems to be supported by all 3G routers, so is a very useful modem.

Yup, I just inserted the 8ta simcard, clicked "connect" on the Cell C dashboard and all was set and working.

You might have to download the 8ta software and dash from their site,although you can use the Cell C dash for 8ta.

Do not! Use CellC dashboard, it works on other networks too. Not sure about 8ta dash.

Its just mobile partner also but the colour scheme is butt ugly black/pink

Use the software from Huawei site. They released a new one with most of the operators and you can make voice calls with it as well

Same as with my E367 - 2-6 MBps, same locations, speed dependant to each location ...
