I am just about to dump Cell C over this problem.
Two months ago or so I had my sim card "malfunction" and gave me the now dreaded "Incorrect sim" message onscreen. For some reason this happened after I switched off the phone and then back on.
I went to a Cell C shop and did a sim swap. Everything worked well until today when my phone's battery died. I got home and put it on the charger, switched on and then I was greeted by the message that my sim was incorrect.
I put the sim in another phone and the same message appeared, it was invalid sim on the phone (different make of the phone).
This is crazy, I can't keep having the same issue with different sim cards on the same network within two months.
I have never removed the sim card from the phone until today, so, there is no way it could be because of that.
