Cell C network downtime

Colleagues of mine are having the same issues, so it's good to see the article so I could inform them.

Few of them have phoned the Cell C help line and they are useless at answering.
 
I phone has been unable to find the Cell C network since around 1am. This is ridiculous.
 
Well that's a painful bite on CellC, hope they will be able to resolve it asap
 
Others commented: “The network has been offline for me in Durbanville since 10pm last night”, and: “Yep, Cell C is still down in Cape Town”.

This is basically same as me. Thought it was my old phone (Galaxy S1) packing up.
 
Correction. CellC's network has been down since 2010 when they sold it.
 
Oh dear Cell C....always with network issues....

I hope their ''soon'' does not mean in 2 weeks time....
 
It's gotten to a point where I hardly use my Cell C sim, which is a contract sim, coz of bad connections. It sucks and trying to get a decent internet connection is pointless...
 
Mine's been up non stop because I'm roaming on Vodacom with a Cell C sim. Data is locked to 2g though but at least I can make calls.
 
Update from Cell C:

Cell C can confirm that as at midday 20 of the 34 sites affected by the transmission failure have been restored. Signal to the affected areas will still be intermittent while the base stations stabilise. Full signal should be restored soon. Cell C again apologises for the inconvenience.
 
Strange, didn't notice any issues - made my first call @ 10am this morning - completed successfully. Had no issues with any other incoming/outgoing calls whole day.
