Cell C Network Issues: Disconnects, Coverage, Throughput Problems - Report Here

I also find my phone must be on 3G only to get 3G. On dual mode its shows only edge. Problem is when I travel to a place that does not have 3G coverage I must remember to change or else I have no coverage. I called cell c and they said its because edge signal stronger than 3G signal and that will be fixed shortly. That was about a year ago.

Same problem on MTN signal in my area.
 
In Illovo, near Wanderers (St Davids tower ?).

Terrible throughput, even though signal good (light-blue light on K4605 modem).

Cell C, are you having major throughput bottlenecks ??? ie capacity constraints ???

I have had to switch to 8ta, poorer signal but much better throughput.

Big waste of money on Cell C pre-paid, it just does not work !

There seems to be a major problem with the uplink ? Any reason for this ?

And this definitely seems to be business traffic related, it is much worse during the day !

Can anything be done ?

My Cell C has deteriorated massively since the beginning of the year.

I've seen this reported on the forum before, can't remember if there was a specific cause. It could just be severe congestion.

Any other information relevant to the problem: I have dropped calls from where hill street starts till beyers Naude.I can't drive in randburg and talk at the same time. It is both very irritaing and embarasing as I have converted so many people to the network and it is those people I will be trying to talking to.

I'm pretty sure that my problem is congestion related - I used to get 6Mbps downloads.

Reception is still good, just not throughput - and Cell C doesn't seem to be looking at a solution !

Had some pretty poor throughput again this morning, as soon as business started.

Couldn't even run Speedtest, it just crashed.
 
Cell C becoming a joke in Kloof, Durban.

Disconnects about every 5 minutes on average.

On the verge of being unusable now. Very disappointing.

Please do, it is completely down now in spite of the router showing connected, and light blue LED on the modem.

I have had to switch to a Vodacom sim in order to post this.

Edit : Oh, and there is 3.3GB left on the Cell C sim, and I also tried a second Cell C sim.
 
Connected, but no throughput since Sunday Eve/Mon Morn.

Gardens, Cape Town. 1 Block away from Gardens Centre. (Devils Peak direction)

Do not have any details at this point, but will post later... Can anyone confirm any issues in the area?
